Star Wars Zero Company is officially out now on PC (Steam, EA App, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Bit Reactor and EA shipped the full single-player campaign, the Den base systems, and the entire operator roster on day one.
Launch Stability & Driver Notes
EA acknowledged early reports of crashes and CPU threading issues and confirmed fixes are in progress.
- NVIDIA: Crashes while using DLSS can often be resolved by updating from Game Ready Driver 610.88 or older to the latest driver.
- Intel 13th/14th Gen CPUs: Some desktop processors may cause crashes. Update your BIOS, or lower the Performance Core Ratio from 55x to 54x/53x/52x in Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.
- No Ultra spec: Bit Reactor removed "native" from the spec sheet for transparency — the game is CPU-bound, and the 1440p/60fps recommended target is best hit with TSR, DLSS, or FSR.
Official FAQ Highlights
- Steam native: The Steam version does not require the EA App.
- Permadeath: Enabled by default but can be toggled off. On standard difficulty, three Injuries mean permanent death; if Hawks dies, the mission fails.
- DLC / New Game+ / mods: No DLC or post-launch content announced yet, no New Game+ (later playthroughs unlock extra customization), and no official mod support. No microtransactions.
- Ultrawide & controllers: 32:9 and 21:9 ultrawide supported; Xbox and PlayStation controllers supported with remapping.
- Steam Deck: Not verified at launch.
Roster & Progression
Your roster starts at a maximum of 7 operators and expands to 20 through Den upgrades, story progression, and authored joins. Operations are non-combat assignments at the HoloTable, while Tactical Missions deploy your squad to ground combat — with mission types including Sabotage, Combat, Rescue, Retrieval, and character-focused Narrative missions.
