LAUNCH 1.0

Last verified: September 5, 2026.

Patch Status

As of this date, no official 1.0.x patch notes have been published. On September 2, 2026, EA announced through the official Star Wars Discord that the first post-launch patch arrives the following week, targeting bugs and performance issues — including a bug where a 100% chance-to-hit was incorrectly recalculated to a lower value.

This page will be updated as soon as official patch notes ship.

Known Issues

  • Tutorial soft-lock: some players report that Hawks cannot move in the opening tutorial.
  • PC performance: high CPU usage, stuttering, and frame drops, even on strong hardware.
  • Crash reports: crashes tied to outdated NVIDIA drivers and Intel 13th/14th Gen stability settings.

Community Reports (Unofficial)

  • Overwatch sometimes doesn't fire even when an enemy crosses the cone.
  • On PC, keyboard input can cut out; a community fix is in a config file.
  • Disabling Environment Geometry Detail reportedly gives a large FPS boost.

See the bug megathread for the full list.

Official Troubleshooting Steps

  • Update GPU drivers to the latest Game Ready driver.
  • For Intel 13th/14th Gen CPUs, update the BIOS or lower the Performance Core Ratio (e.g. from 55x toward 54x/53x/52x) in Intel XTU.
  • For Intel Arc GPUs, enable Resizable BAR.
  • Disable overlays (Steam, EA App, Discord, GeForce Experience) and cap frame rate to 60 FPS.
