Star Wars Zero Company has published PC system requirements. The minimum spec targets 1080p/30fps on Low, while the recommended spec targets 2560x1440/60fps on High. The game is more CPU-bound than most, which is why there is no official Ultra preset spec.
Minimum PC Requirements
The minimum configuration calls for 64-bit Windows 10/11 (Windows 11 recommended), an Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600X, 16 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, or Intel Arc B580.
Storage is listed at about 50 GB of free space. The minimum preset targets 1920x1080 resolution at 30 FPS on Low graphics settings.
Recommended PC Requirements
The recommended configuration steps up to an Intel Core i7-10700K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X, 32 GB of RAM, and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon RX 7800 XT.
This targets 2560x1440 resolution at 60 FPS on High graphics settings. Bit Reactor notes this target is best achieved using the recommended default upscaling settings: TSR, DLSS, or FSR.
Why No Ultra Spec?
Bit Reactor removed the word "native" from the PC specs ahead of launch for transparency. The team found the game is more CPU-bound, so adjusting individual graphics settings does not move the framerate as much as it does in other genres. That is why they do not emphasize Ultra settings.
Driver & Stability Guidance
- NVIDIA: If you crash while using DLSS on Game Ready Driver 610.88 or older, update to the latest Game Ready Driver.
- Intel 13th/14th Gen CPUs: Some Core 13th and 14th Gen desktop processors can cause crashes. Updating the system BIOS to the latest version may help. An alternative is lowering the "Performance Core Ratio" from 55x to 54x, 53x, or 52x in the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility.
Ultrawide, Controllers & Steam Deck
- Ultrawide: 32:9 and 21:9 ultrawide monitors are supported.
- Controllers: Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 controllers are supported on PC, with button remapping for both controller and mouse/keyboard. Some text inputs still require a keyboard.
- Steam Deck: The game is not Steam Deck verified at launch.
- Steam native: The Steam version does not require the EA App.
Console Requirements
Console system requirements have not been published. The game launches on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, and no separate storage or performance specs have been listed for consoles.
Does It Need an Internet Connection?
The game is single-player and supports offline play. You may still need an internet connection to download the game, install updates, or use platform features.
How to Check Your PC
EA recommends running the DirectX Diagnostic Tool to compare your hardware against the requirements. Press Windows Key + R, type dxdiag, and press Enter, then check the System and Display tabs for your OS, processor, memory, and graphics card.
Meeting the minimum requirements does not guarantee smooth performance at all settings. If your system is close to the minimum, lower the resolution or graphics settings.
